Messaging Restriction by Groups

Messaging Restriction by Groups

To maintain order and focus within different community types, THRONG STREAM implements messaging restrictions based on group settings.

  • Group Admin Control: Group administrators have the ability to set messaging permissions within their groups.
  • Public/Free Groups: Messaging within these groups is generally open to all members, but admins may have options to restrict who can post (e.g., “admin-only posts” or “members must be approved to post”).
  • Private Groups: Messaging is typically limited to members of the private group only. Admins can further restrict messaging permissions within the group to certain roles or individuals.
  • Paid Groups: Messaging within paid groups is strictly confined to paying members of that specific group. Admins/creators of these groups often have granular control over messaging permissions to facilitate exclusive discussions or direct communication channels.
  • Prevention of Spam/Abuse: These restrictions help prevent spam, off-topic discussions, and ensure that communication channels align with the purpose of each group.
